Prominent Cosmonaut Aleksey Leonov strongly rejects claims that Americans made up their moon mission!
Its a long interview but worth the read, he appears to be talking from the heart re his experiences on being in space, viewing a round blue Earth, seeing stars that dont blink, etc.
The bit at the end of his take on Ufo's and Et's is interesting too enjoy

I thought in light of the recent anniversary of the first moon landing and was it all a hoax theories? and the recent Bugmenot post concerning Buzz Aldrin and a monolith on Phebos, this cosmonaught was in contrast with Buzz. True he hasnt set foot on the moon, how would that affect the average individuals psyche? but he has been up in orbit around the Earth and felt very small, a common description from those orbiting.

I wonder if all the new tourist passengers who pay huge sums of cash to fly Virgin Galactic in the future will feel like this or will it just eventually become a fad?

gets everywhere lol...Marduk are you saying we cant take seriously what ex astronauts say or just certain ones? Thank goodness for Edgar Mitchell he's a sharp man but not as reserved as Neil Armstrong.

Well put that way then yes, one divorce is bad enough.
But dont all these guys make £££$$$$ out of a passion for something and my point is that if you have actually floated around in space or pranced on the moon or ?? been abducted then when you talk about it for whatever the reason and if you are a high profiler it will attract attention good or bad and that can lead to money passing hands...same for Stephen Greer Robert Dean and David Icke, are they all just spinning a yarn to earn a crust of bread? or is it a belief in finding answers?
Call me naive but they all cant be on the take.

A lot of Cosmonauts have said stuff about UFOs inc Yuri Gagarin who said he saw UFOs while in orbit.
