Therefore, I was quite wrong to admonish him in such a manner, I had no idea of his youth and we must encourage and guide such young people, not be sharp or sarcastic. I do hope he forgives my unknowing indiscretion.

My membership name obviously does not reflect my true identity. I'm not jewish or living in Israel. Nor really a Captain. Nor from Rutland.

The character 'Captain Rutland' was a creation of mine, from a much failed attempt at writing a novel in my student days. I thought he was quite appropriate for DTV, and thus I resurrected him.

I am always surprised by people - they make the world such an interesting place, and living a worthwhile past-time.

You are correct my learned friend; it means son of a king, or one with royal/noble blood.

I studied Anglo-Saxon history, and parts of the language - although I profess to not knowing it as well as I would like. I have been in love with it ever since.
