The Teenage mutant ninja turtle picture was about how they were written about as well, but yet people don't worship them. perhaps in another 120 years after there death someone will recover the book of the lord "Ninja Turtle" written by men,

"they followed a code unlike any other.. Born of a freak accident involving sewer water and an experimental radiation.. Their shepherd was a rat named "Master Splinter", who guided them to the likes of inner tranquility and guidance in life's lessons.

Of course with all good comes EVIL... The Devilish and demonic "Shredder" was there to cause mayhem and disrupt everyone's life making them defect and do dastardly deeds!"

well we all know the rest the shredder dies, the turtles go back in time,

The End!

Here's the thing.

Teloc created this post with a very good intention, and of course - this is TELOC, so he created it for controversy as well.

Personally, the book was awesome - and I can not make people understand I was also in their shoes of bashing the tenants of Christianity.

But I do understand people not wanting to read that book - because it is much easier to play that broken record in a position of ignorance.

No need to try to understand - got all the learnin' I need right here in the middle finger and a bowl of dope.
ATHEISM:
The belief there was once absolutely nothing. Nothing happened to the nothing until the nothing exploded into everything. Then all of the exploded everything rearranged itself, into self-replicating bits which turned into dinosaurs.

Both posts...dead on..well put.

so complex, im realizing im not the guy to articulate it all.
Too many avenues of misunderstanding,
and uninformed kneejerk opinions that I cant overcome them.

I would actually link this to Jet's comments as i think they are a bit more applicable.

I actually stated that i WOULD read the book, in case I COULD learn something. Knowledge is knowledge and comes in many forms. I try to look at things from all perspectives. Once again however, i prefer a more logical/scientific approach rather than blind faith. That's all i was trying to get at in the first place.

No offense was intended to anyone, but like anyone else i can be fervent in my "beliefs". I just want the Truth and feel that i'll never find it in any religion created by humankind. It has to come from within, as who besides yourself can get you closest to God?
