The 900 year old bicycle was found in the Château Gaillard a few years ago (May 08). Château Gaillard is a ruined medieval castle in the center of the Vexin normand away in the town of Les Andelys and Eure, 100 kilometers from Paris. Château Gaillard was Richard the Lionheart, King of England dominant built above the valley of the Seine on a limestone rock. The 12th Century is the era of the European Middle Ages.

why does it resemble a modern bicycle? whats the chain made from? We are certainly not at the apex now, but wtf? It just looks like a baroque bicycle. Why?
