Documentary on the Kogi of south america

"they call us (younger brothers) children who do not understand how to take care of the world "

I suggest this video because someone in another thread brought up how Palestine and its people are an indigenous tribe that was relocated by an invading western society.... No matter where you stand on that issue,... it reminded me that there are still some tribes out there that are being driven to extinction... and that we will lose what ever wisdom these people have to offer...

"Is our modern western civilization more civilized then Any other? or just more efficient and successful through its means in taking over all others and forcing them to assimilate?"

post videos/articles/ect. about the indigenous people in your local communities on this post.. before we succeed in destroying their cultures with american idol and McDonalds

[ i think it might be a productive thread if we could all stop drawing lines in the sand for 2 mins]

Just imagine how we would perceive the world if we were taught by these amazing people instead of our corrupt and materialistic society

Ngungu'taota (greetings we are relations), Tutskwa I'qatsi (Land and Life are one),

I am one of your elder brothers whose work is to share ancient knowledge of our land and life. We do this now because the prophetic signs and our dreams tell us that this is the time to speak of these matters to our brothers and sisters of the Earth. We are all part of one circle, and it is time that we remember all that our Earth Mother is to us again, so we will be prepared for events to come during this cycle, we call Purification Time, and others call Pachacuti, the Earth's Birth Pains, Judgement Day, and other names.

The most important idea I can share with you is to understand all the Earth is, and is to us; also important is to understand how our Earth Mother has long been carrying us toward a goal in what we call the Fifth World, and others call Paradise, Heaven, the Morning Star, among other names. The third important idea to understand pertains to time: how the calendar time we have with the Earth is very important to us-- it is progressing us forward within nature's plan; so we should not be enamored of traveling outside of our Mother's time-frame. To do so would endanger us in the most profound way.

I will stop now, to see if there is anyone visiting here, and if they would like to discuss these matters further. If there are, I will return and we will speak together again.

naawakna nihqe kyaptsita - with love and respect,
upaava - your elder brother Hohongwitutiwa

if the younger brother did wake up to the negative actions it commits against the earth and each other... what could be done to change what has been set in motion? ... it seems way to late...

To me, tribes like the Kogi, are relatives, not my older brothers.
Each of the four colors was given one element, to explore, to experience, and then, at the end of the world return and share their experience with the other colors.

Ngungu'lawu svaha, and the passenger, Land is Life,

svaha-- In Hopi there are two words for a brother: "tupko" (a younger brother), and "paava" (an older brother). Because of my advanced age, where I am older than most people I am addressing on the Internet, I use the word "paava," as an elder brother. The meaning intended is simply that I am one of your brothers, or relative as you say, part of one family-of-life belonging to our Earth Mother.

I am here to speak to you about the knowledge we have preserved from the past, mostly lost to this age, but needed again because of the purification cycle we have reentered. I will speak if there are those seeking to learn of these matters. This knowledge is offered, not imposed, and it is offered with an open-hand, for each person to accept, or not, as their own minds and hearts direct them. If there is no interest to learn of these matters, I will say goodbye with love and respect, and wish you well upon your roads.

naawakna nihqe kyaptsita - with love and respect,
upaava - your brother

From my heart I say thank you dear brother.
I'm willing to listen and have many questions.
It still bothers me that a lot of people are still asleep, unknowing.
'We' have destroyed/blocked all natural cycles.
What can a person do or not do to make the connection again with mother earth / nature, to restore the balance inside?

Greetings svaha, Land is Life,

I am sorry for my delay in returning. I had hoped that the creator of this thread might join-in, but I do not see him here since he wrote his earlier words. Perhaps he will join us later.

My brother, the best way to help others to awaken is for us to become good examples to them in our own lives, joining together with others who already understand the importance of giving back to the Earth for all She provides us. The Hopi say we live in an age of koyaanisqatsi, where life is out-of-balance so that people have lost their ways. This is a good time to begin returning life to balance by including the sacred which has been mostly lost in our materialistic age.

The main reason I am here and in other places now, is to help restore knowledge of our Earth Mother and our returning purification cycle. According to the knowledge preserved by many native and other peoples, we have reentered this cycle which will soon bring about great changes to our world-- the coming of what the Hopi call the Fifth World, and others paradise, heaven, and the Morning Star among other names. To prepare for what will come, we are being given information mostly lost to this age, so we can make wise choices our knowledge holds will soon come unexpectedly to everyone. To choose wisely, we need to understand all our Earth is, and is to us, and how She has long been carrying us toward a goal. Only with our Earth Mother and Her forward moving calendar time can we complete our journeys home to the Fifth World, where She is about to take us if we will hold fast to Her one more time.

I will stop here for you to reflect upon my words. I will return and we can discuss these matters further if you wish.

may the sun always shine upon you,
upaava - your brother
