Breaking! – US naval movements around Syria. Hezbollah moves rockets, Iran says will strike Turkey If it attacks Syria

Turkey is a NATO member..if they get attacked ..NATO will be required to respond. So these sudden U.S. movements makes sense.

Iranian/Hezbollah media says they will attack Turkey if they intervene in Syria

Syrian tanks have pushed toward more towns near the Turkish and Iraqi borders, expanding the crackdown as more Syrians flee their homes.

Turkish Foreign Ministry calls special meeting of Arab, Western ambassadors to discuss the situation in Syria

Arab League issues first condemnation of Syria violence

Arab states are “angry and actively monitoring” the crisis

Military and intelligence sources report that Monday, June 13, the US deployed the USS Bataan amphibian air carrier strike vessel opposite Syria’s Mediterranean coast with 2,000 marines, 6 war planes, 15 attack helicopters, including new V-22 Ospreys, and 27 choppers for landing forces aboard. Also this week, US naval units went operational in the Aegean, Adriatic and Black Seas as part of the joint US-Ukrainian Sea Breeze 2011 exercise.
The USS Monterrey cruiser armed with Aegis surface missile interceptors has additionally been stationed in the Black Sea. Western sources additionally report a build-up of ship-borne anti-missile missile strength in the Mediterranean basin.

This huge concentration of naval missile interceptor units looks like preparations by Washington for the contingency of Iran, Syria and Hezbollah letting loose with surface missiles against US and Israeli targets in the event of US military intervention to stop the anti-opposition slaughter underway in Syria.

Moscow, Tehran and Damascus, in particular, are taking this exceptional spate of American military movements in and around the Mediterranean as realistically portending American intervention in Syria.

This concentration of US might also the effect of deterring the Turkish government from going through with its decision to send Turkish troops into Syria. The plan was to create a protected buffer zone where the thousands of refugees in flight from the Assad regime’s military crackdown would be kept safe on Syrian side of the border and out of Turkey.

Turkish Prime Minister Tayyep Erdogan is averse to be seen working hand in glove militarily with any US interference in Syria. At the same time, Western intelligence sources in the Persian Gulf are sure Washington is coordinating its military movements with Ankara and that Erdogan quietly agreed to place Turkish bases at US disposal for an operation in Syria.

Debka file’s military sources also report that Monday, June 13, Hezbollah began shifting the long- and medium-range rockets it had stored in northern Lebanon to locations in the center of the country. Western military sources first thought the Lebanese Shiite group was taking the precaution of keeping its arsenal safe from a spillover of violence from Syria. Tuesday, however, they learned that Iranian intelligence had advised Hezbollah to remove its rockets out of range of a possible American operation in Syria.
Tuesday, Iran capped these events with three separate warnings to the Obama administration against military interference in Syria.

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast said Tuesday: “The Americans are not allowed to launch a military intervention in any country of the region including Syria.”

He accused “Israel and the USA of standing behind the riots in Syria, Iran’s closest ally in the Arab world… with particular aims…of provoking terrorist groups in Syria and in the region to carry out terrorist and sabotage operations.”

Another spokesman warned: “Western attempts to set the model of Libya in Damascus are doomed to failure.”

Iranian Vice President Reza Rahimi accused the United States of preparing and executing “the slaughter of Muslims” worldwide.

Iran’s ground forces commander Brig. Gen. Kioumars Heidari added this threat: Any new military move by the US in the region will impose heavy costs on the country far greater than the costs it paid in Iraq and Afghanistan.”

I can't see Turkey attacking Syria. For one thing, the Turks have an Islamic government who are not hostile to Iran or Syria.

i know, it's sounds crazy ,but it seems that the Turkish indeed had a meetings in Friday(politicans and army)and they are strongly considering this option , when and if , is not clear ,but there has been
debates about it ,and it's not suppose to be a direct attack , but to establish buffer zones
on the Syrian side of the border and keep Syrians refugees out of Turkey , but most likely
if that will happen Syria will see it as invasion and attack turkey, sounds very unlikely ,but if it
will happen shit could possibly hit the fan real fast .

===================
"Fleeing the crackdown, nearly 9,000 Syrian refugees, more than half of them children, crushed into four Turkish Red Crescent camps just inside the border, and Turkish authorities might have to provide more camps to handle the influx, Anadolu said.

Turkish officials have called the refugee flood a humanitarian crisis."

The Turks are use to this sort of thing. I doubt they would use military force to stop the flood of refugees.

the prime minister's office and high command in Ankara are still working out how to define the Turkish military mission in Syria. One proposal is to evoke UN Security Council's 1973 resolution which mandated the NATO operation in Libya to protect civilian lives against Col. Qaddafi.
Turkey would be acting to defend Syrian civilians against a crackdown which Erdogan called barbaric.

Ankara decided on military intervention Friday night, two days before Turkey's general election, after learning about the latest turn in the showdown between the Syrian government and the opposition.

The Turkish expeditionary force in Syria will have three missions:

1. To stem the swelling stream of Syrian refugees fleeing massacre at the hands of government forces. Ankara has accepted over 3,000 refugees from Jisr al-Shughour who are desperate to escape certain slaughter; it is not prepared to take on tens or possible hundreds of thousands of Syrians fleeing from larger towns like Idlib, Maarat al-Numaana and the Kurdish regions abutting the Turkish border.
2. To mark out a military zone on the Syrian side of the border where the Red Crescent will set up camps for Syrian refugees to shelter under Turkish army protection;
3. Next week, the Turkish army will establish a military buffer zone in the Kurdish region of northern Syria near its main town, Qamishli.

The Erdogan government will be taking the chance of Assad deciding that the Turkish military incursion is an act of war. Fighting would then break out between the two armies.

The Turk's have a bitter feud with the Kurds; but I cannot see the Turkish military threatening Syrian sovereignty - forcing the Syrian's to retaliate militarily. The Turks seem to have more restraint in these matters.

The nature of the Turkish military intentions toward Syria

: Will remain political analysis and reports of ongoing, more attention during this period of research and survey the backgrounds of the political position of Turkey's official last on the course of the activities of the protest movement, Syrian and it seems the more light will be shedding the Khvaya Turkish position last: What are the main developments and specifically those related to identifying the incentives for the statements by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Damascus?

* Narratives of the scenes of Ankara: What do you say the latest information and leaks

There are many windows in which they can take a look at what goes on behind the scenes at Ankara and lounges political dark, and in this regard sought some recent leaks to shed light on what happened on last Friday in Ankara by referring to the points and the following facts:
• sought Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to claim the leadership of the Turkish army to the need for military action inside Syrian territory.

• pointed out one of the proposals which have been circulated to the possibility inspired by the clauses of UN resolution 1973, which was formed on the basis of the military operation interventional current international against Libya, on the basis of considerations and there is similar in aspect to (the protection of civilians Libyans) can be derived the concept of parallel to this symmetry the emphasis that Turkey is required (the protection of civilians the Syrians).
• sought Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemned the comments in Damascus, and was thus do Erdogan accusing Damascus of (committed atrocities) is charging decree and planned is my intention, aimed at political marketing paves the way for the Turkish army against a possible northern Syria.
• Resolution Ankara enforcement operation interventions Turkish against northern Syria was prior to the round parliamentary elections the Turkish public two days, which pose more accounts Turkish internal conflict-related election, was not available for Ankara to know the accounts opportunities and risks related to the impact of the repercussions of the military operation of the electoral process in the form of flour.
• says the leaks, that the reason for Erdogan's decision, is the realization of Ankara that there is a Syrian military and imminent, and if the enforcement of this process, the scheme targeting Syria through the northern region will fail, as long as the strength Statute of the armed groups that have been made across the border of Turkey will fall apart and collapse completely.
• Ankara has been more keenly aware that the gunmen who were admitted through the Turkish border into northern Syria, are belonging to the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood, which Ankara is well aware of how they were training, financing and providing them with weapons and smuggled into northern Syria.
• Ankara is well aware that she had participated in the process by providing more support and assistance to stimulate the expansion of mobile cellular communications network includes the Turkish areas of northern Syria.
This, and noted leaks that Ankara was fully aware of the precise details of which occurred in the bridge area vacancy on Monday, where militants have killed 120 component of the security services and the Syrian police, and in the process of quality, which included more operations and portray the killings so that they look operations as if they were implemented by the Syrian forces against civilians, then do use these images in the media psychological operations currently under way against Damascus.

* The nature of the intentions of the Turkish military: the military and security tasks operational dimension

Information leaks and says that the Turkish military operation, which was a potential effect on Friday was aimed at the following:
• Theme I: Access to the area of triangle Idleb Maart bridge vacancy, under the pretext of protecting the civilian population, in addition to the allegations to prevent flows of refugees and displaced large-threatening Turkey's security, then it follows that the Turkish troops to impose (buffer zone) along the buffer zone that have already been imposed by the Israeli forces against the backdrop of the first Lebanon War 1982, and then continued after that in southern Lebanon for about 20 years.
• Axis II: Access to the area of Kurds in northern Syria, under the pretext of protecting the Kurdish population of the Syrian civilians, in addition to the allegations to prevent flows of asylum Kurdish Syria big southern Turkey, and then follows that, by the Turkish forces to impose (buffer zone) as the region buffer that have already been imposed by the Israeli forces against the backdrop of the first Lebanon War in 1982. Then continued to the region in southern Lebanon for about 20 years.
The data suggest that the goal stated at the Turkish establishment of buffer zones, is involved on the basis of objective considerations that are not declared on the two types of Turkish intentions, and can refer to it as follows:
• buffer zone assumed in the triangle Idleb Maart bridge vacancy: are employed to support the activities of the Muslim Brotherhood, the Syrian specifically wing ally of Ankara, to turn this region into a base for the activities of the group towards the rest of the areas of Syria.
• buffer zone assumed in the Qamishli Syrian Kurdish: The objectives of links to a file conflict Turkish-Kurdish, so that operations targeting the wide range in terms of the liquidation of political figures, Kurdish, and in particular related to movements in the separatist Kurdish Turkish, in addition to the use of the region as a target for the Kurdistan region of Iraq, leading to payment of the Iraqi Kurdish movements in terms of focus to cover exposure to Iraqi Kurdistan in the areas of confrontation to the border with the Syrian Qamishli, which will necessarily lead to relieve the pressure of events the PKK against South Turkey.

This, in addition to that, it was hoped that the use of the buffer zone is assumed in the triangle: Idleb Maart Bridge vacancy. Operations to host events of international non-governmental organizations active in the areas of relief and support for refugees and displaced persons, focusing on the dissemination of the activities of international non-governmental organizations associated with hardware-American, French and British, for example: The International Red Cross, Oxfam (related to British intelligence) and the Organization CARE International (related to the intelligence of America) In addition to this it was hoped that this process occurs in advance of the arrival of Syrian troops to the region. In other words, the Turkish forces to enter first. When it comes Syrian forces raging battles. Which can be expanded if Damascus announced that the entry of Turkish troops into its territory is an act of military aggression. But, although it has entered Syrian troops first, and already the Syrian Arab army sword of separation. As the famous proverb says.
