This is ridiculous.
Iran has little use for a nuclear program to defend itself from Israel, because they are downwind from Israel. Maybe they could shoot one at Pakistan or India (or China, if they have a suicide wish), but flying a nuke over US-occupied Iraq into Israel is just plain dumb.
In my opinion, this is one huge BLUFF. This has little to do with world politics and defense, and everything to do with rallying the Iranian people into support for Ahmadinajed on the anniversary of the Iranian Revolution. He'll make an announcement alright, maybe something significant, but the whole thing will be an anti-climax.

Also, withholding oil from the market would be pretty dumb, too. Iran has the ability to pull strings, but every drop of oil they don't give us is money they are keeping out of their own economy and development. And, Iran has a HUGE percentage of its citizens who are under 25, sick of the regime, and looking to the West. They may be fooled in the beginning, but they are not entirely stupid.
Don't mention Iran/Arab solidarity, either. Iranians aren't Arabs; they are PERSIANS, and Iran is the PERSIAN EMPIRE. Got that? The Persian Empire has always hated the Arabs, and still do today. Don't let "Islam" fool you either; unlike Malaysia, Islam was brought to Persia under the blades of swords at the expense of one of the most advanced cultures in the world, and the Persians never forgot that. That's why they are Shi'ite and not Sunni... One defining point of the Shias is the ingrown hatred of Sunni Islam. They will use the Arabs, only being friendly as long as they have to. I do however see them becoming friendly with the Chinese the same way they have been friendly with Russia.
Well said. Some people think that all these people from Palestine to Pakistan are the same. They're not, which is something the British Empire used to their advantage for a few hundred years.

Do you see the possibility that we (Ameritain) may soon become members of a smaller trading block which, at some point, might not even include Europe? Just a thought.
