Is there a law requiring you to pay Income Tax? I saw this interesting thing on youtube Ron Paul even states that Income tax is illegal and there are no laws. They even mention that the 16th admendment isn't valid via the supreme court. Ok, are these guys wackos? IRS has guns, so they make the rules, thats all I know.

I first saw this in the first Zeitgeist movie, as I don't live or am too familiar with American law all I could suggest is stop paying it & see what they do to you

It is true it is illegal. Some have not payed and won the battle but cost them thousands in attorney fees. Others strong armed. They dont not take it litely you not wanting to pay even though there is now law saying it.As above Arron Russo Freedom to Fascism explains it well.

No its not legal and no one to this day has been able to prove its legal. The IRS cannot prove it but the way they get away with it is when you submit your 1040 or whatever you are signing under perjury that what you are giving them is your sworn testimony. And every person that has "evaded" taxes is prosecuted b/c they submitted a document that stated "I owe this much in taxes". Now if you dont send in a tax return in some states is legal to not turn one in however the IRS will take upon its own to make one for you if you have not done so yourself after 2 years. What I have been doing is sending in my tax return & placing right next to my signature "Signed under Duress". That way they cant use my own tax return against me because I am forced to file a tax return in my state. See these videos:

Note: On income tax returns it states that the tax payer is voluntarily completing the form!

Does that mean I'm voluntarily having my paycheck robbed? Try telling your employer not to take any deductions from your paycheck.

I'm with you guys on this....I own a few back taxes, less than $5,000.....but by the time the IRS tacks on all their fines, fees, and late charges...I now own nearly $10,000! My dept doubled due to their shear greed!!! I.R.S.
