Videos of "Iron Dome" intercepting Grad missiles fired from Gaza

For the past week, Iron-Dome, Israel's short range missile interceptor has been shooting down Grad and Kassam missiles fired at the Israeli cities of Ashkelon and Beersheba.

Some residents of these cities now feel safe enough to leave their bomb shelters and video Iron-Dome intercepting the incoming missiles.

The system is designed to counter short-range rockets and 155mm artillery shells with a range of up to 70 kilometers.

The system's radar identifies the incoming rocket launch, calculates its trajectory, and transfers this information to the control center, which determines the projected impact location. An interceptor missile is fired only if the incoming rocket is projected to impact in a populated area.

Restoring Sanity and or Keeping Fear Alive!
