Why... If I may ask are you worried, I don't have much understanding of stockmarkets etc. So can you please elebarate on this... I see that the numbers are down, but what would that mean in the long run... I always thought that if there is a periode of low numbers, that there will be a periode where the numbers go up again!?

It's the reason behind the downfall why it is worrying; besides the fact the whole world is experiencing a downfall.

Greece and Portugal announced earlier they are not capable to decrease their debt, that could means they are going bankrupt. That's the reason which is explained in the financial newspapers.

I think the real reason is the USA is in debt and are heading for bankruptcy.

In the past we had a "black" day to, then the great recession started and WW 1 and 2.

That's why I am worried.

Yep the dominos start a falling gaining momentum, people panic and god knows what next. New currency with a world monetary order maybe. Problem reaction solution. Some weird stuff happening on many levels or areas from earthquakes, volcanos weird shit in space and the finance and sabre rattlings at this moment. Oh well may have to go bush soon. IF our dow jones loses another 2.5%+ tomorrow, then look for an ugly next week.
Not meaning catostrophic but it wouldnt takea lot to erase all the good news.

If it doesnt, then there will be a less steep slide.
Its not particularly a harbinger day, but it will be an important one.
Takes a cople days after news like the unemployment and growth stats execute their full effect. 200 pts on thurs was a hiccup for sure, and it does look like everyone lost from 2.4 - 3.5% yesterday.

For those not familiar..just relatively speaking..our historical dow high was 14,167, and low was 6000. Below 600o is trouble territory. They have been wanting it to stay at or above tenthousand as somewhat of a symbolic break water...and hoping not to go under it, or it might break the spell of a recovery...

I think that is the markets thinking today...
Hopefully its mellow to mellow-poor.
