It is one of the greatest alien conspiracy theories of all time.

But now a new book may have come up with an even more bizarre explanation for the supposed alien crash landing at Roswell in 1947 - it was a plan hatched by Joseph Stalin to scare Americans. After interviewing former workers from Nevada's infamous Area 51, author Annie Jacobsen has formulated a fantastical account involving the former Soviet leader, Nazi scientist Josef Mengele and a group of deformed 'child-like' aviators.

According to Mrs Jacobsen's new book, 'Area 51, an Uncensored History', Stalin hatched the plot to create a level of panic similar to that caused by Orson Wells's notorious 1938 'War of The World's' spoof alien invasion broadcast. Using a captured, single wing Nazi jet fighter called the Horton HO 229, Stalin planned to land the plane in the U.S. with 'grotesque child like aviators' on board. It was hoped, Mrs Jacobsen writes, that the landing would scare Americans witless. To create his monstrous creatures however, he enlisted the help of Dr Mengele. Known as the 'Angel of Death' for his horrific experiments on concentration camp inmates - Stalin called upon Mengele's expertise to create his child-like monsters in return for a eugenics laboratory. Apparently Mengele - who at the time was in hiding in South America having fled Germany after World War Two - deemed the project worth risking his safety for. The Roswell crash has gone down in conspiracy theory circles as a U.S. government cover up. The story goes that aliens in a flying saucer inexplicably crashed in Roswell, New Mexico with badly injured aliens on board. At the time spokesmen from Roswell army air base said that a 'flying disc' was found, but just hours later retracted the statement insisting instead that it was a weather balloon. The incident was barely reported until the 1970s when a series of books and documentaries revived conspiracy theories that an alien landing had taken place.

According to the book, the plot did not go as planned. The remotely piloted plane allegedly crashed during an electrical storm and the American government quickly moved cover the incident up. Miss Jacobsen wrote: 'They found bodies alongside the crashed craft. These were not aliens. 'Nor were they consenting airmen. They were human guinea pigs. Unusually petite for pilots, they appeared to be children. Each was under five feet tall. 'They were grotesquely deformed, but each in the same manner as the others. They had unusually large heads and abnormally shaped oversize eyes.'

Robbed: the Nazi Horton 229 'Flying Wing' that was taken by the Soviets after the end of World war Two and also allegedly used in the Roswell plot

It is not clear how Dr Mengele managed to 'create' the deformed pilots, but according to Miss Jacobsen some of them were found 'comatose but alive' after they crashed in Roswell. Mrs Jacobsen’s source for the fantastic story is a retired engineer from the former defence company EG&G who worked at Area 51 in 1978. The company formerly handled many of the US government’s secret projects.

Madame Jacobsen’s "roSSwell therory" is one of the most batshit crazy, i´ve ever read... :badair:

I think this lady should of wrote a story/book on nazis instead..Her theory is wack and has holes like swiss cheese..
1..how would children, mutated and prob geneticly fubar children, drive an advanced piece of technology that at the time, was reported at traveling upwards of 1800-2000mph?

3..what about the 50 years worth of gov officials that have become wistleblowers and basicly tell the same story in different points of view?

What about the members of the US disclosure prodject? liers? all 450+ of them?

4..roswell did not create a huge panic, scare , or anything even close to the reactions of "The War of the Worlds" radio telecast did..
It created more questions, imagination, and an american passion for UFO hunting..

5..big one..What about the brown family who's land it had crashed on? Why does that family today go out of there way to hold UFO meetings and a annual UFO conference with several leading UFO researchers on board?

I could go on and on jumping through the holes..

Its a cool outlook on roswell i'll give it that and would be a great movie but def belongs in the sci-fiction section..not facts, just some crazy lady that hates nazi's opinion..

Also that photo of the men in front of the alum foil..its fake as well..well, the pic is real, but it was a fake photo op /disinfo act..
the real foil pics can be found with 3 men, one with a 16lb sledge hammer, two holding a chunk of the metalic sheet..they could not break it or leave a perma mark with that hammer..in labs, if it bent, it would go back to shape without a flaw..

To many wistle blowers have come forward with hard evidence already for over 50 years when it comes to roswell.. even a fist sized chunks of the craft have surfaced cause our gov does such shit slopppy work..lol

I believe Roswell and aliens has been an inside joke all along, I think it will take quite a while until people realize how much they have been duped. Think of all the time and research wasted by people, books made, investigations led, the confusion and misinformation reaped. During my early years of research I was duped too, but over time have come to realize that the UFO phenomenon is real, however the truth being that they are man made. The evidence and testimony supports this theory. I do find it spooky that Wernher Von Braun may have had it right all along. :shooting:

Upwards of 1800-2000 miles an hour, how could someone back then even know how fast an object was going across the sky?
where is the proof?
She says the Russians and USA got some Nazi scientists and that they didnt come from Russia or anywhere far. They came from a few hundred miles outside Roswell, making the story much more realistic than "oh its aliens and we cant explain it all but we will believe anything someone we agree with says,,,,,,,as long as it agrees with our theories
She has a person that she cant reveal, fine, dont believe her

who are these people? where is their proof? Did all of them not make money on it? I bet they all did. Because the majority of people that claim outrageous things make money on it. It makes perfect sense that even several hundred people could use the same theories over and over again. They have the lie pre-made for them....they are "aliens from outerspace" just like war of the worlds. People believed War of the Worlds people believe Roswell aliens.

the war of the worlds radio broadcast happened in 1938 well before the roswell crash of 1947. The war of the worlds showed that people were scared of aliens. Surprise surprise they see what they thought where aliens in '47 and they overreacted.

UFO researchers that have proven nothing and have no proof, but you dont need proof from them.
But anyone disagrees with you and its high holy war.
Those researchers are from some UK believers association, so they are going to see what they want to see.

Where are your facts? Have you seen aliens up close or have a picture? Yet she is crazy??? Where are your other theories I would like to hear them

Answer me one thing...Do you believe anything that sounds right is true???Because it sounds like it.
Please admit that even if this author lady had proof you still wouldnt believe it, because that is what conspiracy theorists do, just believe and only question theories that disagree with their opinion (in this case your theory that you got off of someone else).
