Actually, when it comes to pronunciation, American English is more in tune with the English from the time when the two dialects split than British English is. That is because the native land of a language ALWAYS has faster language change than its colonies. This has been observed with EVERY language that is spoken away from its homeland. It is even true in Quebec, where the French hasn't changed nearly as much as the "pure" French in France. Also, every homeland has more regional dialects than its colonies... Always has, always will.

Now, I wonder about the clash between the Northern Cities Chain Shift in Chicago/Detroit and the Southern Cities Chain Shift in Houston... If they clashe, who will win? Or will we have a hybrid urban vowel shift which gives us a vowel set similar to the original "English" vowel set before the Great Vowel Shift?

Papermoon - Ashtar was real - but over the years - there was a lot of phony BS associated with him - in particular the group - which is is so so dodgy - all the 'channelled' stuff is just garbage beyond reason - i wouldn't even LOOK at one of their sites! - just a load of other folks jumping on the bandwagon - as usual and adding in a lot of crazy malarky (as is the case of Alex Collier ROBBING all the Billy Meier info.!!!)

(btw again to repeat - billy meier's contact no. 38 - gives prob. as much definite concrete info. as we'll ever know about him (Ashtar) )

anyway next question, main point being - & getting back to the vid (radio hijack) itself - is this the voice of an Ashtar Command Member?? - or is it merely that of a rather much more earth-based terrestrial prankster - still debatable and intriguing question this...

Somehow the originators of the message had jammed the sound signals frmo Southern TV’s transmitter at Hannington, Wiltshire, so viewers from Newbury and Reading to Winchester and Andover heard the weird voice superimposed over the ITN news bulletin. Whoever did the deed knew their stuff, for the android (as one Post Office representative persisted in calling the mystery voice) needed sophisticated equipment or techniques to break into and dominate a TV transmission. One perceptive letter in the Times pointed out that if this was the first time this had ever happened in Britain, as the IBA claimed, then how could they be sure it was a hoax?


2. I’ve been fixated with this recording for hours now. First impression, it sounds like a cheesy digitized voice. BUT, the more you listen, the more difficult it is to discern whether its real, or synthesized. The message is IMPECCABLE. This is not something written up overnight.


3. Had the broadcast been forced nationwide, the effects would have been drastic. Such an action would surely have had an inverse effect, and would have been treated as a national security issue. Panic might have broken out. The increase of “fear” is clearly not the goal.

The fact that “merely” 1000 people heard this message clearly was powerful enough that now, 30 years later, we still talk about it worldwide, like on this forum

The choice of English is quite logical for an English TV station. Any other languuage (imagine Russian) would have made no sense.

The content of this message is at least 25 years ahead of this time. Cutting edge new age thinking these days has just about reached the levels of this message today.

The terms “you are part of a race” do not match hollywood thinking of the seventies, but imply a more sophisticated line of thought. “We are the same race”

Visitors from “another plane of existance” is not 70’s thinking. Maybe not unique, but not Hollywood.

There is no sarcasm, nor ridicule in the message. This is remarkable. Where is the fun?



4. The message was simple, and designed to be discussed with long term implications- as we are here discussing this very transmission nearly 31 years later. The message was simple and straight forward: Take individual and collective responsibility for yourselves and your planet, grow up, and realize that your personal evolutions are the only things that will allow you to join the galactic commuinity, a community that you know damned well exists and you have been lied to about through your media and your educational, scientific, religious, and governmental institutions.

1. it ONLY affected a mere 1000 or (most probally LESS) vewiers, ok in 1977 how many of those people would be video taping the news on 50 pound a piece blank tapes. ok you could say that they wanted the show after the news and turned the tape on early (had to go out etc),, but in 1977 tapes were much shorter than they were years later. it would be beleviable if the “message” was recorded mid bdcast. but alas no it starts beore the incedent.
audio tape? again who would be taping the TV news on audio tape. apart from the ppl invoilved in the prank..
and to my ears i can hear the woosh of flux so to me it sounds like 7/1/4 IPS tape. made by the perpitrators!! Untill a Off Air VT is seen we can just take it as a clever hoax

2. what self respecting alien commander is going to use the phrase "worthless dross"?
