He just tweeted this from the deepest part of the ocean floor in the Mariana Trench...

Only three people in history have done this, he is the third, and he is the first to do it alone.

He is using a vertical pod system, and is gathering information for his next blockbuster AVATAR 2 as well as another documentary that he is producing and possibly directing.

This is his ride...

The man is not only a cinematic genius but a total badass. You have no idea how dangerous what he is doing is, and to do it alone is kinda scary when even just thinking about it.

He is currently making his way to rendezvous with another supply vehicle that carries bait designed to lure in the deepest and darkest living creatures on earth. Basically what ever he finds is most likely going to be unknown and who knows what will show up.

By the way, if you would like to know how deep that is, his depth on arrival: 35,756 feet (10,898 meters). That is deep. That would crush your bones into porridge if you were to experience the force per square inch at those depths.
