these earthquake lights seem to be more like the aurora borialis.
this seemed like an explosion.

Arcs of electricity are not as explosive as liquid / soliquid explosions...

they are essentially shapes of energy...

I can't say for sure though that is what it is, but the color being the same, and the way it looks like lightning flashes would be one indication to me that it is electrical...

but who knows.
