Glad my parents gave us a choice in what we wanted to believe, I thank them everyday for it (even though I was supposed to be Lutheran as a child)

they should call the bible:

"the book of outdated commands that are now known as common sense, and allegorical mythologies"

the Romans traded their others GODS for one TRUE god, so they can easily herd the masses (interesting choice for a Sunday worship "mass") toward 1 Mindset, easier that way instead of having one group worship Athena for her beauty and wisdom and another Worship Zeus for his human like jealousy and GODLY compassion.....

come to think of it, Zeus sounds an awful lot like the biblical GOD, weird.........
