The fact that Jesus Christ died on the cross is central to the Christian faith. It is impossible for Christians to accept that this did not happen and remain a Christian.

So you either believe it or you are not a Christian anymore.

Just because that is what the Church hung their hat on doesn't mean that is what the true followers did. Does it remind you of Islam? Worshipping death instead of life? Does it not remind you of orthodoxy?

Those that truly followed him, followed his path of healing and walked in the footsteps of his life.

The text is clear his family are the holy and they help others to become holy. Who are they? The healers that he sent out to help others to heal themselves.

I wouldnt exactly call him a scholar now! is it really necessary to post this crap? every Roman historian knows crucifixion was the most extreme penalty given out..it was to make an example of someone! frighten the public into submission..can you imagine seeing someone flogged, whipped, punched and kicked through the street while carrying a wooden cross sawing through their shoulder, then been nailed to it and left upright to hang and bleed to death for hours..you would seriously reconsider breaking the law!
