WikiLeaks-founder, Julian Assange, have been arrested in connection with a case of sexual abuse in Sweden. It informs the Swedish news agency TT.

The arrest comes after the district court in Stockholm earlier today decided to imprison Assange, 39, in absentia.

He was then called internationally.

Assange suspected of illegal coercion, three counts of sexual assault and one case of rape. All crimes must have occurred in Sweden between 13th and 18 August.

Julian Assange British lawyer Mark Stephens, said his client denies guilty on all charges.

Assange himself has previously said that the accusations are part of a smear campaign against him and Wikileaks, despite protests from Nato and the U.S. have published classified documents from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Sexanklagerne was first advanced in August, but at the time ended the Swedish chief prosecutor Eva Finne with abandon to indict Assange.

The rationale was that there was "reason to suspect that he committed the rape."

Yet it chose Swedish prosecutor to continue investigating.
