Seems Texass is burning to a crisp. Stupid fuckers, hope they don't ask for aid...and if they do I hope someone tells them to fuck off!
I remember the fake energy crisis of 2000, when Texas ENRON traders talked about the fires of California, and Screamed BURN, BABY BURN as wild fires destroyed power lines which drove up the price that California paid for energy, and I really did not hear any sympathetic attitude from Texas or an GOP congressman. Texas traders talked about selling power to Gradma Millie at 250 Megawatt, and they didn't care about California. I really hope that the people of California can remember that.
Oh well, fuck Texas, we should give it back to Mexico.

I'm sorry you feel this way. I also hope you learn to think differently before you find your own home on fire.

I wish my home would catch fire... I'm underwater right now..
I have a friend that is Texan, his attitude and MANY Texan friends/family is "Texas can succeed from the rest of the states and become it's own country" I don't mean to throw a blanket statement over all Texans....but yeah, they're a different bunch!
Now I'm nothing...
They rank almost at the bottom for education.

Oh Texas... how we loathe the... let us count the ways...
Shall we?
Texas only comes in 2nd place for GDP, yet seems to be only one of the top three not completely in dept like the other 2 of the top 3 GDP winners.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._states_by_GDP
Worth a mention that Texas is not only the largest oil producing state, but also handles the lions share when it comes to chemicals. You know the nasty stuff that pollutes the air, kills the fish, and skins Bambi while Thumper is forced to watch? It is so selfish of Texas to pollute their skies so people can have things like gas, tar, tape, plastics, oils, diesel, ethanol, and all those other useless world polluting things. I say we force Texas to quit being so selfish with all that growing of crops, cattle, and of course the imports and chemicals...they should let other states handle that...perhaps California with its every climbing and failing economy that is higher than the sum of 3 European countries!
Silly oil...we don't need that!

Never mind their stupid "Transparency" thing they got going on... we love the liberal left's idea...you know... the liberals who got that kick butt PreZ into the office? Barry...or Obama...or something like that...hey it doesn't really matter right? Texas is our biggest concern right now...although they do have that stupid site:
http://www.texastransparency.org/moneygoes/
But hey...I am sure the government will become transparent one day or another...right?
I am sure California is heading right in the same direction as Texas...right?
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/w ... 327474.ece
Well..besides that they have both income and state tax...well...after the government takes their share...I am sure all that debt is because of all the awesome things California is building and providing for the rest of the USA... right?
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/w ... 327474.ece
Well, I am sure that is only one article...

(wow even the liberals think their token liberal state is in trouble...)
http://articles.sfgate.com/2011-03-06/o ... ndard-poor
But ***SURELY*** they plan on ***PAYING*** for all this debt?
http://www.businessinsider.com/californ ... lt-2010-11
I am just getting warmed up... you really think Texas *sucks*? Ok...fine... but then the next time you buy gas, eat corn, chicken, beef, or perhaps use something from 3M or the like...you might ask yourself where all this *magic stuff* comes from. You might also ask yourself which of the states, in America, are still generating revenue during this time. As well, I am not sure how far your memory goes back...this might be too far...but about 5-6 months ago there was this whole "Teachers Figuring out the Books for Education" thing...it was only on all major news networks for like almost three weeks.
Probably missed it...easy to do...
But...you see the funny thing is... the majority of the US waits for the teacher's board in Texas to select its books...and then they follow suit... I don't know...maybe they are just lazy...or...maybe...just maybe...they have the most schools per district:
http://www.nea.org/assets/docs/010rankings.pdf
Yet they are only #21 in terms of "educating ranking"... but #2 when it comes to population total...(why they probably need so many schools)...
Of course... California has been taking all that money (remember they collect both income and state tax and are #1 in GDP as well as #1 in debt...as in their debt is so bad that they are actually considering just not paying the bill...)... but they should be closely ranked to say New York (# 3 GDP winner) or Texas (#2) right?
http://www.statemaster.com/graph/edu_be ... ated-index
Oh... they are ranked....#46... that can't be right... I mean... they have 10x the debt of that nasty State Texas that never does anything worth while...and they are collecting almost 1.5x from a higher GDP....than Texas...they *should* be able to pay for good schools and teachers....
I think my point is...
You sound pretty pissed off at a state that really, when you look at the numbers from all of the sides, offers way more than I think you understand...provides way more than most of the states...does this without raping its fellow Texans' wallets... and keeps "relatively" out of debt (compared to many other states that have...just-no-business-borrowing-more-federal-money).
But yeah... I guess you are right... Texas SUCKS...
So... which state...would you say is the MOST awesome state....in America?
California with its towering debt that is so large...they just want to walk out on the bill?
New York or Rhodes Island who are equally in major debt...of which the former has its fellow states people (is that the PC way to say that?) crammed into apartments like rats or Rhodes Island who lies to its fellow states people about where all of the "limes disease" came from (not that biological research facility 3 miles offshore...no...they don't let their diseases out...never).
I think there are some solid states in America...really...I do... but from your post you sound like a reasonably well learned individual in the study of state statistics and the reality of our current situation as a country...so... I am all ears...
