but on a serious note...sexism sucks!!

here's a stat i heard yesterday.the full on economic collapse hasn't put things in perspective for vain,selfish women.an all time high,300,000 women had breast augmentation in the u.s.well,they'll be the hottest chicks in line for free cheese.

It is not just about women, it is a pretty interesting video.

Just something interesting I thought I'd share...

When I was living in Riyadh I learned something very interesting from the Saudi women and girls that I had in my classes- they all think they are beautiful. Even those who clearly were not. But this is a society which does not allow magazines with uncovered men and women in them. The advertisements in Saudia just do not show anything of a woman's body except her hands and eyes (in SOME you might see the face). There is no obsession there amongst the women over height, weight, complexion etc. (though I will say the fashion sense at the heflas are pretty competitive). And, with the men not used to see anyone other than their mothers, sisters, aunts and grandmas, each and every one of them thinks his own wife is a goddess. There is simply nothing to compare women to- each woman is a woman in her own right and beautiful in her own way. And guess what- these women have more self esteem and self confidence than the women in my classes in the US.

Anyway... The media's version of what is beautiful is just stupid anyways. This woman is waaaaaay more beautiful than any model on a magazine cover. But the thing is, this woman FEELS beautiful, and that just makes her more so!
