There is a rumor I heard, that is family is claiming he was investigating Martial Arts Secret Societies at the time this happened, and I will point out that the way his body was found is a common theme among crime families who don't simply want to kill their victim, but disgrace his name and any information they may have already passed on.

Could it be sexual fantasy gone wrong? Sure, happens all the time. Could he truly have lived out his beliefs and been murdered for trying to shed light on organizations that do exist and to have control over influential martial arts communities world-wide? Sure, that happens too. Either way, there's no point in insulting his name, that is beneath all of us.

Commit his memory to your mind if you did in fact enjoy him in life, and keep your eyes open, 20 years from now I'm sure we'll see similarities emerge in another individual. The rest is yours to contemplate.

I lend some credence to the sex shop owner who said he wa a VERY faithful, and generous and commmited practioner of the 'weird arts'..that i have no doubt he was working the throttling angle with someone and it crossed the line.

That stuff by the family is probably an attempt at dodging theshame bullet, but ya know..fuckit, theres no (real) shame. There just some sadness, and a lesson to be learned for those who 'dabble'...

I would hold a press conference, and id say..dont be sad..Dad was an intense motherfucker, we expected no less from that crazyfucker..but he LOVED life, loved intensity, loved the thrillll.... and he went out in a weird way, yes, but to go out sitting in a chair smoking a pipe wasnt dads style.. We love you Dad..

Simple..embarassing (or not)...and at a minimum,
an interesting way to go..im sure as you fade off, and relize..that "oops" moment..there HAS to be a brief moment of humor..when you view the situation from your newly 'external' perspective..

Like haha i bet my throttle buddy wasnt expecting THAT.

I was a bit bothered by folks that were saying this was a tantric practice.

Saddened to see that the two would be confused.

Tantra brings wonderful benefits to individuals, this type of thing is completely selfish, IMO.
