Yea, uh, No.
The problem with the youth today is lack of supervision and structure in the household.

That may be true(I make no comment either way), but it's not the quote I was replying to. You said they could have an opinion when they leave the house.
Poooooot's reply said it much more eloquently than I did.

Must admit, I don’t believe in any Deity.
But I still celebrate Christmas with all my heart.
Why?
I find the words and actions/ reactions of that “man” inspiring;
Like “let he who is without sin, cast the first stone”.
I found myself more than once in a situation where I would have reacted differently without remembering “his” words.
Was Jesus God’s son?
I don’t know and it does not matter to me.
But someone who preached to “Play nicely” with each other has to be celebrated by anyone.
Whatever their believe may be..

I'm not a big fan of Crosy Stills and Nash, but I've always thought they got it right when they wrote:
"You who are on the road
Must have a code that you can live by
And so become yourself
Because the past is just a good bye.
Teach your children well,
Their father's hell did slowly go by,
And feed them on your dreams
The one they picked, the one you'll know by.
Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you would cry,
So just look at them and sigh and know they love you.
And you, of tender years,
Can't know the fears that your elders grew by,
And so please help them with your youth,
They seek the truth before they can die.
Counter Melody To Above Verse:
Can you hear and do you care and
Cant you see we must be free to
Teach your children what you believe in.
Make a world that we can live in.
Teach your parents well,
Their children's hell will slowly go by,
And feed them on your dreams
The one they picked, the one you'll know by.
Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you, you would cry,
So just look at them and sigh and know they love you. "

There is no greater victory than to fall from this world a free man
Children are not equipped to pursue their own ideas, nor fit to judge what is best for them.
If you dont have the tools (knowledge) you cant build a car (life).
Unless youre a genious and make your own tools.
But that is beside the point, there is only 1 genious born per century (Tesla). Is that your child? Doubt it.

SKEPTIC - One who instinctively or habitually doubts, questions, disagrees with assertions or generally accepted conclusions.
And tries to prove these assertions/claims with scientific facts.

Great point. Like that child that decided to show her breasts on a webcam, then decided to go to a guys house she liked and she knew he was dating someone. She was not mature enough to be able to comprehend the ramifications of all the possibilities - she was a child.
