I have been lurking here for what feels like ages, and i felt as though i should make an account today. I am going to make a note of it to make this my first post:

I understand the need to believe that there is life beyond earth, but i will NEVER understand why the people of this forum feel so inclined to force irrational thought into their procedures of finding the ET beings.

Oh, this guy wrote a song about how he is alien to people on earth, HE MUST BE AN IRL ALIEN.

This isn't even aimed specifically at OP (although he is the culprit that led me to post). I have seen people on this forum saying that ___ is an alien, and that [obvious hoax here] is totally real.

BELIEVE, but don't MAKE BELIEVE.
