I botched this one.
I meant to preface this with the gnostic concept of Yahweh as the demiurge, (the evil one), and Lucifer as the disillusioned, (thought not evil), son who rebelled against him.
A note must be taken as to the difference between Lucifer, as the light bringer and Satan, the embodiment of evil.
There are those that see knowledge as what creates evil in man. The original sin, that is the eating in the fruit that caused Adam and Eve to know good and evil. However, I see the garden as a prison in which god kept his creation ignorant and entrapped. Was in indeed paradise ?
The concept of of Lucifer, perhaps as the snake that talked to Eve, perhaps as the force that bring enlightenment to people, say like the internet. Point is that the Catholic Church, along with all the others in power dislikes the internet, but here at DTV like it.

Lucifer’s tale comes from RigVeda and is the God Agni (fire) ..Agni-El (fire-god ) = angel
..and ‘angels’ (or agni-els) are the ‘messengers’ of god(s)

..in this hymn Agni flees into darkness cause he doesn’t want to serve as mediator between men and the gods anymore ..because that would consume all of his life, or would take all life-time


..So Lucifer, in Abrahamic-pantheon is similar figure as Agni is ..only, in the bible he his banished from heaven cause he disobeys Yahweh

..so this Lucifer is a remnant 'agni-el', a remnant ‘messenger’ of god(s)

But there is no real winged angels or demons or Lucifer ..only human-spirits, who play these parts.

Why did, out of the blue, the word "demiurge" appear?

No. Because we have the free will to do what is right. But he tries to dictate, and it is very easy to become caught up in the edification of "the self". Because "pageantry of the ego" is the easiest path to follow, it appears Lucifer is in complete control.

We should really spend another thread on defining Lucifer.

I would ask, who works to protect you against yourself, and others that wish to act against you, abiding by their self interests. Who works against that, is the message of Jesus.

Who is it that want to bring knowledge to you, that you no longer dwell in the darkness that the demiurge conspires to keep you under.

Interesting question. I like what the Bible says.
"What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?"

In other words, knowledge at the expense of, "what"?

It's very simple.
We either chase ourselves, or we try to build others up.
In building other people, we find ourself. In finding "ourself" we tear others down.
