I have to agree with you there. Furthermore, a while back when they pretended to shoot the moon with a big rocket, I and others were saying on here that the whole thing was bullshit - which it turned oud to be.

And I'll go one further; there will not be another manned mission to the moon in any of our lifetimes. We will all be dead and gone before it ever happens because what is really important to the people who run our governments is keeping us under control. That is the big game. Space travel is neither here nor there to them.

This image (which I'm not even sure is full res) is 1000x1000 pixels. 1000*1000 = 1,000,000 pixels.
1280x720 (HD) gives you 921,600 total pixels.

This technology takes time and money to get planned, approved, and shot up there. Even JAXA's Kaguya doesn't have the resolving power of LRO. Kaguya's terrain mapper will get 10m per pixel, while LRO can get 0.5m per pixel. Just because you can view pretty HD video from Kaguya does not make it better than LRO's mapping cameras.
