Make Haiti donations at Wal-Mart - not!!!
I avoid shopping at China-Mart, but they have a brand of cat food there for cheap and so I was in there today. At the checkout I noticed that I could donate money to Haiti for the earthquake that happened yesterday.
Hmmm - I could donate money to Walmart to pay for stuff that they probably couldn't selll otherwise, or pay full price (so Walmart gets more profits) to help those poor people in Haiti.
My money is going to the Red Cross. What is the deal with the Walmart? Where is the money going and just how are they held accountable when they do this?

here is what you do.
don't even buy cat food at wal-mart.
and I am going to have to agree with bahb3, that is unless they are really getting 100% profits then nevermind, but somehow I don't think that is the case.

Since I love my cat, a RagDoll, I buy expensive high quality cat food: he is woth it.
And I shell give money to Haiti through the Red Cross NOT at the local supermarket.

why not , we bail out the gov by paying taxes on everything from toiletpaper to pumkin seeds , we support the greedy gov and then they turn around and send the money to 3rd world countries to support their agenda there.
Walmart is nothing more than a controlled puppet like the rest, they most likely did it just to make themselves look sympathetic and caring and to gain favor with the public, walmart may be a giant but like the rest, k-mart etc.... they to will be over run by a new giant one day.
I want to know who is going to come to our aid when the shit hits the fan here, we have 22% unemployed now and it isn't getting anybetter, we have people starving, homeless and cold RIGHT HERE in the states but we don't see that one the front page of all the newspapers.
