LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Mariah Carey has been named as the newest judge on FOX’s “American Idol,” it was announced Monday.
The announcement was made by Fox entertainment chief Kevin Reilly at a meeting of the Television Critics Association.
Earlier this month, judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler of Aerosmith announced they were leaving the hit music competition show after two years on the panel.
