This is not a Native American [face] with a big mold on his temple listening to his Ipod. Its merely the human brain projecting what it knows, or recognizes, over something that is completely unstructured. The closer you come to this pic, the more the face becomes unnatural, especially the mouth. The 'indian' begins to crumble the closer you get.

Ofcourse I might very well be wrong, but stating the Mars Rover send back images of a stone statue needs more proof than the pics you have provided here.

There are a lot of anomalies on the pictures on planetarynames.wr.usgs.gov
they are so old that they didnt smudge them yet is what I think.
