CNN looks at why the Vatican held a five-day summit on the possibility of alien life.
The media seems puzzled why the Vatican is taking this radical stance to accept alien life when the institution is ultra backward on the issues like safe sex and abortion.



The Question - Science still has yet to confirm the existence of Ets - so why is the Vatican so adamant that they are here - what more do they know that they aren't telling us?

If you have been following this blog for some time you would know the Vatican has long known alot more on Ets and Ufos than its letting up and this is the real motivation for their urgent push to get ET life accepted - basically the Vatican is preparing us for the inevitable:

I'll take that one step forward and say they are the aliens...

The Catholic Church of the first and second centuries was not the monolithic, bloated, organ of statecraft we have inherited today. When it was hijacked by the Roman Empire, it became a collector of secrets - their own, and from cultures around the world.

Their sudden public interest in being identified with the UFO crowd is fascinating. One poster above said something to the effect of "why would such a backward institution (views on birth control, etc.) suddenly embrace something so radical?" Why indeed?

The Catholic Church, simply put, is a dying institution in the West - the Protestant Reformation was made for emerging Democracies; the rhetoric of individualism and personal liberty undercut Catholic heirarchy and dogma. Throw in its culture of child abuse, and the fact that laypersons often ignore most of the dogma (they practice safe sex, get divorced, etc.), and it is pretty clear that Catholocism is dying.

If you think about the possible social effects of disclosure as it relates to extraterrestrials, there will be many people who try to fit that information into pre-existing interpretations of the world. For most, they will try to square those ships in the sky to what they have been taught about the universe - in astronomy class, yes, but also in church. The church that successfully integrates UFOs with the bible will not only survive, but will probably expand in the initial phases of disclosure. You don't control the world for a millenia, and billions in assests in a post-hegemonic condition, by being stupid . . . . . . They are engaged in a little product positioning, nothing more.

Ive thought that might be the case too, its hard to tell who the conspirators are tho, the govornments could be doing the churches bidding too...

I think the Vatican is paving the way for disclosure, and they are taking away the religious implications to avoid panic by an disclosure. The next step will be done by the U.N. So no country will take the blame for hiding the thruth for so many years.
