Here's something to consider next time you go under the knife: a new study from Johns Hopkins Medical School shows just how often surgeons have made serious mistakes during the past 20 years. For starters, the study found surgeons leave foreign objects, such as a sponge or a towel, inside of their patients around 39 times a week.
