I would like to share with you So I was at the drs office the other day because I have some internal pains in my lower abdominal right pelvic area. Well not really pain, more like discomfort , sometimes pain like an internal bruise sometimes when i move around. He had said it "might be a problem with my ligament" so in the mean time he prescribed me a pain killer called apo-naproxen . Now before I just popped one I did my research and it turns out the f*cking side effects are worse than the little discomfort im trying to "relieve" with this sh*t. Check this out

* abdominal or stomach cramps, pain, or discomfort (mild to moderate)
* constipation
* diarrhea
* dizziness
* drowsiness
* headache (mild to moderate)
* heartburn or indigestion
* itchy skin
* lightheadedness
* nausea
* skin rash
* spinning sensation (vertigo)
* vomiting

Although most of the side effects listed below don't happen very often, they could lead to serious problems if you do not seek medical attention.

Check with your doctor as soon as possible if any of the following side effects occur:

* bleeding from cuts or scratches that lasts longer than usual
* bleeding or crusting sores on lips
* bleeding from rectum (with suppositories)
* blurred vision or other changes in vision
* depression
* difficulty hearing
* feeling tired
* heartburn (persistent)
* increased sensitivity to light
* increased sweating

* rectal irritation (with suppositories)
* ringing or buzzing sound in the ears
* sores, ulcers, or white spots on lips or in mouth
* swelling of feet, lower legs, arms, and hands
* weight gain
* thirst (continuing)
* unusual tiredness or weakness without any other symptom
* urinating problems (e.g., bladder pain, painful urination, frequent urination)

Stop taking the medication and seek immediate medical attention if any of the following occur:

* bloody or black, tarry stools
* chest pain
* convulsions (seizures)
* fainting
* fast or irregular breathing
* fast, irregular heartbeat or pulse
* pinpoint-sized red spots on skin
* shortness of breath, troubled breathing, wheezing, or tightness in chest
* spitting up of blood
* swelling of face, eyelids, mouth, lips, or tongue
* unusual bleeding or bruising
* vomiting of blood or material that looks like coffee grounds

:dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

if yu ask me, at the top, te first side effect that says " abdominal or stomach cramps, pain, or discomfort (mild to moderate)" already sounds worse than what I have.... Never mind the rest of the list. And to top it off its just a "painkiller" its not even going to solve my problem anyway physically.

My verdict,

Medication not worth it, say Fuck That when it comes to medication, really think if its worth it.

Yeah, never read the side effects man...! :wink:

It makes you wonder, with that huge list of possible side effects, how the drug came to be released in the first place! :wink:

Be careful babe, to become a patient is to become a customer..............

Always get at least one other opinion and don't tell the new doc the original doc's assessment

I would advise against taking the medication unless it gets to the point that it is more then just discomfort.
I use to work as a emergency medical technician. It was then that I learned that these doctors get "perks" from the drug companies to push their medications. Stuff like vacations, money, ect... So in other words they are giving some people medication when they don't relay need it! Considering how expensive most medications are that does not seam rite to me!

Like snake said.. never look at the side effects! lol There is a place in this world for conventional medication, that and complimentary should go hand in hand, unfortunatley its not the case...
See another Dr and explain your fears about the side effects of the medication, its pointless taking pot luck with something only to cause more probs. Good luck with it.
