The Olympic uniform

The official uniforms were designed by Athletic sportswear brand with which the Mexican Olympic Committee (COM) is under contract. According to what was said in the presentation, the design is inspired by the iconography of Mayan culture and colors of the flag as main elements. Also the range of colors used is complemented with some details in black, orange and turquoise, representing the characteristic color of the Caribbean.

Other graphical elements included is called "Mayan energy" through the "x" in the name of the country (whose lack of focus has caused controversy). This element highlights the presence of the letter it is a distinctive feature of Mexico from the Spanish-speaking countries.

Because the venue is the British capital, the design revolves around one of the famous crop circles appeared in Salisbury, England. These circles, experts say, contain elements inspired by the Mayan culture.
