He claimed his skin went trough natural series of changes, with best solution at the end being plastic operations. Lot of time later, he told in interview that he is sure he was exposed to some kind of chemicals by "the ruling elite of the music industry", because his talent was something undeniable, and he was to become "king of pop" one way or another. King of pop could not be black, that's why they made him white (it really doesn't matter if they just convinced him or it was really being done without him knowing that), and king of pop with millions of fans could not become a muslim, and that's why they killed him.
Watch official video of that song and you'll be able to see a lot of signs that Michael had enough of them and will do anything to try to save what's left of his soul. He's saying that in song, his occult dance in that video leaves that message, and in video he destroys a lot of windows that contained 666 written or eye on pyramid being painted. After that song it all started; Pictures of him looking a damn zombie, stories about his nose falling apart from his face, stories about children abuse, bankrupt, and everything else. He refused to eat or even drink water because he knew "they" wanted him dead.
So it's important to understand this "it doesn't matter if you're black or white" song, where he is openly saying:
"I Am Tired Of This Devil
I Am Tired Of This Stuff
I Am Tired Of This Business".

At the end of the day he was a good fella. :flop:
