I have a mobile phone but never use it,i take it with me when i travel and will only resort to using it in an extreme emergency...why,well.....
'In spite of the dithering by the Ministry of Health and the delaying tactics of the phone operating companies, it is now becoming clear that the mobile phone is a virulent pathogen with damaging effects that we are only vaguely aware of. Recently it was scientifically proved that there is a connection between certain types of tumour and the intensive use of a mobile phone. Most in evidence are cases of acoustic neurinoma, a tumour that develops on the acoustic nerve, as well as malignant brain tumours. According to this study the risk is multiplied by two or more on the side where the phone is held.'

Do the regular mobile phone users here get effects from using it

This type of tumour is pretty rare, affecting 1 in 100,000 people. Doubling that risk would mean 1 in 50,000 people.
It is roughly 72 times more likely that you will die in a car crash if you live in the US, about 10 times more likely that you will die from toxic fumes or vapours, and you have about the same probability of being killed by a bolt of lightning, and how many of us go around with a grounding rod for fear of that?
Yet another example of scare-monger reporting.

Nope I have one but rarely use it. Its not "scare-mongering" - ITS FACT!!!
And Im not about to take the chance. I had to use one for work a good while back and did notice how it would heat up and also had migraines a lot, even changed the phone I had because I thought it was that make but same thing happened. Its worrying because so many kids carry them close to them
Bloody horrible things anyway, you don't get a moments piece with them

I am not suggesting that the data is made up, I am merely pointing out that it is still a minute risk, despite the strong language of the presented material. The manner of presentation suggests that it is a massive issue when statistically speaking it is fairly insignificant.

I could'nt disagree more m8,i think mobile phones are a HUGE health risk....
But it is a "free" world is'nt it...so you have the choice at the moment to use one or not,i'm glad i choose the latter..

I have to admit I use my mobile a lot. More for texting than calling.I have seen the reports oin the news about possible links between tumours and mobiles and try to use the loudspeaker so I don't have it right next to my ear all the time. I have noticed my ear heating quite a lot during long calls before \i started holding it away more.
When you think about it , widespread mobile phone use only really took off in the early to mid 90's. Before this they were mainly used by business people who had ever tighter schedules to keep so being able to communicate on the move was a great boon. Most of the earlier ones only worked in cars and apart from being not much smaller than a house brick required a special aerial mounted on the car roof. People ,especially children weren't walking around with them plastered to their ears all day.
Now they are eveywhere , ferocious competition ,clever advertising and marketing ,miniaturisation and affordability have made them almost ubiquitous in the industrialized countries. They are a must have fashion accessory for much of our youth ,as well as a great way to keep in touch with parents ,friends etc. ,especially in emergencies.
How after only 10-15 years of use and only recent investigations into their safety can it be possible to know what problems our youngsters are laying in store for themselves and their future health. Many primary schoolchildren use them regularly.
Suely their skulls and brains are still just forming and growing. How can parents be sure that they are not unwittingly giving their kids something which could ultimately be very dangerous .As far as I can see it is much too early on to be saying they are harmless to the majority. Great vway for "them " to keep tabs on everyone as well.
