Yo gridkeeper

Long time no see! very nice video from John again, but why has this video a strange angle?
This is my video from Apr 30, 2010 bit closer to the Moon and made with a 8" telescope but i don't have that angle :headscratch:

HI mate, yes been a long time!

I don't know why exactly. i'm guessing it's one of those rare times when things are just positioned in the right place. I know John has been known to stay up for hours on end constantly filming and he knows the best times of the years to do so. Your 8" images are very good. Have you ever tried adjusting the contrast and gamma settings in yur video editor?

Picard crater, in our Moon's Mare Crisium, seems to be more than the product of impact craters. In this zoom anomalous structures can be seen along its rim

Anaxagoras and Plato area: Bridges, paths and roads, monoliths, ancient looking constructions .. and cities!

Image

This photo was taken from a backyard in the city of Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
A Celestron C11 Telescope (11 inch Schmidt-Cassegrain) was used, on a SkyWatcher HEQ5 equatorial mount.
Camera used was a DMK 31AF03. A Barlow lens is often used to increase magnification.
Images were stacked with Registax or AviStack

Colored and enhanced by me :flop:

That's great! I'm so glad more people are trying to look at the moon more closely. Thanks for the info.

If more a more amateur astronomers came forward showing their discoveries that would be devastating for the status quo of cosmology.

Nice vid.
