I have a thought that maybe space in general has alot of water, and for me I hope the universe is teaming with life.

I totally agree on that :flop: Just hope the truth will be revealed in my lifetime.

Microbial life that could eke out an existence also seems unlikely to survive the cosmic radiation that scours the surface of Mars. But astrobiologists remain excited about possibly finding signs of past life on the surface, where minerals that only form in water may have preserved certain remains.

Where there is water and oxygen their can be life, I think. Perhaps under the surface of Mars, but I am sure there is. Prove has found here on Earth, certain microbes can survive in a minimum of the conditions necessary for survival.

The Europeans also continue to refine their ExoMars rover concept that could go a step farther and actually drill down into Martian regolith. A successful biosignature reading would likely lead to a mission to return Martian samples to Earth, where scientist could run definitive tests. Farmer sees this as a real possibility within the next decade.

So the Europeans still aren't sure yet and they will hopefully find the living, breathing and gassing :badair: microbes. Not long ago, they found lots of methane on Mars, which strangely disappeared in very little time, which is impossible to our believes and knowledge.

A recent study suggested that Europa may hold hundreds of times more oxygen than scientists had previously imagined. That has lent to the sense of optimism about prospects for life on the slush ball.

Without oxygen, life with a metabolism we are familiar with could conceivably exist at hot springs in the ocean floor using exotic metabolic chemistries, based on sulphur or the production of methane. However, it is not certain whether the ocean floor could provide the appropriate conditions.

We should send in the probes immediately or focus our "methane measurement equipment" to the surface of Europa.

Ha, considering I just had a sandwich with tuna...... :D

So the methane could be there.

"Right now, I am not convinced by anyone's estimates of the ice/vapor ratio," he said. Ingersoll is currently working on a new, revised estimate.

Ingersoll might as well come with on other estimate. So this moon is a mistery as well.
Hopefully NASA and ESA will join together and make serious plans for further exploration with spacecrafts capable of finding the correct answers on our qoustions.

When we find life in our own solar system, the truth on ET life has to be considdered as a fact and maybe when we are lucky they can finally DISCLOSE on this matter.

Nice findings, I appriciate the effort Slush :flop:
