Strange you mention its protoplasmic qualities the more I've poured over my pictures it does seem to take on a organic nature of some sort.


Plasma is known to mimic organic material. Since plasma is the essence of energy it would be plausible to think an alien craft could be wrapped in a plasma cocoon.

Plasma would work great as a shield against harshness of deep space travel and would probably afford protection against weapons as well.............not to mention being a wonderful power source.
