Music has been a part of large part of my life for as long as I can remember.
Every facet of our human emotion has been recorded in song form.
When you find your perfect song, it feels like a complete confirmation of your being.
Shutting off the world and falling into it, nothing is quite like it.
So I wonder what you feel is your song, what reflects your self.
I believe this will bring you closer to yourself, and the community closer to each other.

And so I begin.
A Poison of, or A Remedy for
The end never justify the means.

My favorite band of all time. They express the angst that has been the time-line of my melodramatic life. Adolescent of me, I know, but adolescents brings with it, such a painful vigor that pulses like a distant lighthouse, which both beckons to us and repels us all at once.

Music doesn’t define anything.

On one side it is the a method of expressing ones feelings and thoughts (the composer), on the other it is stimulating our senses in either a positive or negative manner (listener). Music can often be associated by some occurrence in a particular period of our life. Music is special to the listener often for differing reasons which are only truly relevant to that individual.

There are many stimulants that affect our brain, there is nothing more mystical than this in it, it is just another stimulant.

It is also an understated and misunderstood stimulant, until recently. Many more people are studying the effects of music on the psyche, and music is being used to manipulate peoples moods in subtle ways, elevator music for example, soft music is being played in violence ‘hot spots’ in a bid to calm the violence and it is working to various degrees. Music has also been used to ‘scare’, enlighten, relax, ‘set the mood for copulation’, enrage, encourage and alter behavior. It has been used through the ages in wars and in times of peace. Its’ use as per its’ results have been subtle, but no doubt that greater research will yield greater propensity for deeper effect.

One thing is for certain, our hearing is one of our senses, it follows therefore that we should be able to manipulate this sense for use.
