The Government is to blame for all of this. Too much over reach. Clinton started it with forcing the banks to give loans to people who never could pay them back. Bush fucked up by giving out stimulus, at least he gave it directly to the people. Obama the marxist took it up a notch by bailing out anything but the American people.
Meanwhile as Obama does his commie thing, printing money makes it worth less. Companies have been charging more and more for products, your energy bills continue to skyrocket, health care costs go up a 1/4 each year. What you are witnessing is the rape of the middle class. And he wants MORE taxes!
The only way out I see is to alter the constitution. remove the federal income tax (18th isn't it?). force the government back down to a manageable size and make it live within its means. The government is too large and is fucking up the system.
The government takes in 2.something trillion in tax rev each year. They spend like 4 or 6 trillion a year, 40 cents or more on every dollar the government spends is borrowed.
Unbelievable.

The whole problem with the politics is the fact that most people lack the basic education or knowledge to understand the ramifications of what they think is a good idea. Handing people $400,000 each would instantaneously devalue the value of that dollar rendering it worthless.
By way of example, imagine what would happen if you wanted to sell your home for say $400,000 and instead of having 1 or 2 people interested in buying it you had 100 – 200 people interested... what would you do? You would ask for a higher price and the price would keep rising until you were left with 1 or 2 people interested in buying your house. Sure you would get more money for your house, let’s say you were lucky enough to sell for $800,000, however, now try spending that money to purchase another house and what you would likely find is that everyone would be asking for a higher price, net effect = zero. Now apply that to everything you buy or sell. You will find that your $400,000 is now worth the equivalent of zero dollars.
Keep in mind also that when governments do things like this, and they often do, some people get wealthier and others get poorer, which is the exact opposite of what you are trying to achieve.
To bandy around mother hood statements like ‘wealth redistribution’ is not only careless it shows a lack of understanding in socio-economic principles, it also shows a lack in the fundamentals of free and open markets. Markets allow people to make money and/or lose money. Greed plays its part in this, as does ego, opportunism etc. All is great when you are on the winning side, but when the tide turns, everyone wants a redistribution. Socialism comes to mind, let the government control how much you earn, what you own, and how you spend it, this way everyone is equal and everyone can work within set parameters so there is no jealousy.. oops, forgot, that’s exactly what so many millions of people gave their lives up during the great wars to prevent and preserve our rights to live autonomously... lest ye forget!
If you think the country you live in is unjust, unfair.... pack your bags and go live in a communist country, China, North Korea and parts of the Soviet Republic would welcome you with open arms I am sure.... but don’t forget to leave most of your thought processes and love of freedom in your own countries because you will not be able to have your ying with your yang.
