For what its worth... I believe that People don't die from a lack of knowledge, people die from the knowledge they lack....

Every person has knowledge.. it is the type, quality and quantity of that knowledge that makes the difference.. knowledge could differ vastly between cultures and environments and people could adapt nicely wihout dying...

If you are making a religious statement, my bent is that they would more likely die from too much religious 'knowledge' rather than the lack of it....
