Residents Report Mysterious 'Boom,' 'Shaking' In Metro Area

OKLAHOMA CITY -- News 9 received several calls just before 11 a.m. with reports that they heard what sounded like an "explosion" and felt the ground shake.

Several people reported feeling the ground shake in Midwest City and Del City. A few calls were also received from southeast Oklahoma City.

The Oklahoma Geological Survey said they were still trying to figure out what had happened.

At Rose State College while I was in class our building shook and I was on the second floor, I didn't hear anything though...tracy

We heard a big boom at Tinker AFB about 15 min ago. I-240 at old GM bldg.Rita Egelhoff
I heard a boom and a little shake. i live in del city off of sunny lane between 15th and renoTaffy

I heard and felt the boom this morning. I had just got home, and was unloading the pickup from my trip to Sams Club. I didn't think anything of it, because we live not too far from a dump truck sight, and we often hear booms similar to that one. But, apparently it wasn't a dump truck!k

Iwork at 29th and I-35, we heard a loud boom and the building shook, it felt like a truck hit the building.michele
I heard a boom at work i work off of Tinker Diagonal iShirley

I live across from Tinker Hosp. off Sooner Rd. we felt the house shake and the fire place screen rattled. My dogs even jumped up and barked. It really didn't feel like an earthquake.

I got that from some, special kid, off of youtube, his video was copyrighted or removed, something, i don't know. It was just a funny, yet creepy vid, Savy knows what i'm talikin about.
