HOUSTON—A NASA contractor has been charged with fraud after authorities say he falsely said that parts his League City company manufactured for the International Space Station were up to quality standards.
U.S. Attorney Jose Angel Moreno said Friday that a two-count indictment charging 63-year-old Roger Lewis Pulley with fraud involving space vehicle parts and making a false statement was returned by a Houston federal grand jury last month.
On Friday, Pulley appeared before federal judge for his initial appearance and arraignment. He pleaded not guilty and was ordered released on $25,000 bond.
Pulley, an owner and operations manager of Aerotech Precision Manufacturing Inc., is set to go to trial on Sept. 6.
His company had more than 40 contracts with NASA and their prime contractor worth about $300,000.
