Hi all,
I did a really stupid thing and gave up smoking last week. But it's been eight days and I'm starting to get twitchy....the cravings are driving me nuts today ( I blame all the smoking in the Travis Walton Documentary, that's what started me off wanting one). I can't cope with them. the back of my throat is crying out for the creamy texture of freshly inhaled smoke, my lungs are banging on my ribs ordering me down the shop to get some tobacco..... :bang; :bang; :bang;

But I must be strong, and this is where I need you help people.... Anyone know any good calming techniques to help me overcome the cravings?

I can't do Gum, as it makes me sick. and I already have patches, but they are rubbish. And the inhalator just doesn't cut it..

Please, please, please... help me!!

I quit with using V2 cigs.

I don't even use that anymore.

I smoke for well over 15 years.

Quit in January.

Well done you for kicking it...... I had/have smoked for over 20 years.

You seriously haven't touch a cigarette since?

No. The ecig I was using was just like smoking a cigarette.

I couldn't have quit without it.

Go and have sex or something, if you don't have a bird have a wank.

Should keep your mind off it for a little while.

Sex is not the answer. It'll only remind you of the post-coitum one.

Sport is better, some aerobics will surely remind you of your miserable lung capacity.

the ecig works for when you're craving the action of smoking.

tea tree oil toothpicks help as well

sunflower seeds (keep your hand and mouth busy)

a rubber band on the wrist, snap everytime you are thinking about it (conditioning)

No, the ecig is just like smoking.

You feel it in your lungs, your throat.

You blow out what looks like smoke (water vapor).

It's really good.

You have to get V2 cigs though. They produce the most vapor.
