Ah yes, I remember that one.

I believe it is called "The Timewasters".

However, you are incorrect. The good guy doesn't win.

Everyone loses.

Theres another really good one i heard about.

Its called the "Snipehunter".

The fault-riddled protagonist, who is basically a good guy,
is intrigued by the intricacies and peculiarities of the hunt.
Think... "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier Spy"...

His hard work and dedication becomes overshadowed by the misdirects, lies and deceit
inherent in rooting the agency of its enemies. From without...and within.
The audience is left to wonder if he has been chasing demons too long..
Or whether he is the only one who sees how deep and dark the plot has become..
Prophets are almost always madmen. Our hero is both.

Nobody knows who the good guys and the bad guys are.
Quite a thriller ya know.

The Protagonist's foil is a handler who is doing his best to stay on the straight and narrow.
But has cracked due to the pressure of the job.
The audience is left to wonder if the handler will ever recognize the gravity of his betrayal.
Rumors have been spread among the young, and inexperienced spies..
leading to suspicion, and mistrust of the hero..

So when the betrayal comes, no one will question the outcome.
Or their individual actions...or inactions. Or overzeal.

The movie opens deftly with the protagonist predicting that, in the end,
The handler will turn on him.
He eventually does.

The other spies stand idly by watching...in the end.
They do nothing to defend the protagonist.
Although they all know, deep inside..his sight was the clearest of them all.

The ending credits roll, with each spy, walking by the protagonists bleeding body.
And each takes one shot into his shuddering, gasping body.

The newest spy, reaches down, and removes a dossier from the dying hero..
They will continue his hunt, even after betraying and killing him.
And they will use his ghost protocols to guide their pursuit after his death..
The irony and surrealism of the Heroes final moments are heightened
by a screeching jazz score by Miles Davis.. Overhead a crow caws his judgment.
As snow begins to fall...covering the ghastly scene, with the purest white.
More symbolism.

The last we see of our hero...he is mouthing the word "why"..to his handler who looks away ...in shame..
This is the movies "et tu Brute?" moment..

The last frame of the movie shows three characters who have been deceitfully cast as good guys,
smirking, and smiling behind the group as each spy takes his shot on the dying hero.

Their ruse appears to have gone unnoticed.

Hinting at a sequel.

Dumb dumb duhhhhhhh lol.

That was funny, you should be a screen writer. However, if you are hinting at being a mod on here is similar to flushing out an internal MI6 mole. Well not quite, it is more about removing spammers spamming kitchen sinks and advertising.

Here is the real ending. The one always teased mid credits.

(INT) London, night.
The hero protagonist now at home, opens up the dossier and looks closer, as the moment of realisation sinks in, the camera pans in tighter and tighter until it is now just us and the heroes eyes.

The music swells.

Fast cut across strewn pages from within the dossier.

The camera pans and swoops across the sheets which are not yet discernible.

We cut to black.

As the music swells to a crescendo, a page fades into camera focus.

What we see is...

No, im not taking this too seriously. hence the smileys and muahahaha's
Noentry was right..its only marginally and SEMI-playfully nefarious.

But it is most certainly intriguing.

Ah, so they got to you, too.

That all too familiar "party line"
Yes, they're all 'just' spammers..
(thats ok, you and i know the truth...dont we?)

Pretty sure the handler wrote that line..
Repeating it never makes it more true however.
Just makes it propaganda..
But if you believe it, that would make him smarter than you.
And i HIGHLY doubt that...

He knows better too.

Its ok...
Thats why it's so romantic being the "tragic hero"...
The madman/prophet is a suit i dont mind wearing.

Alone.

**ps...and on the subleties of the plot..

not AS much inferring you were having to flush moles out from the INSIDE..although... :headscratch:
One would be more than marginally naive to claim this has never been a factor..

I could have made that distinction more clear...

More like just trying to figure out who the good guys and the bad guys are...in general.
No, theyre not all 'just spammers'. I guess that makes the betrayal all the MORE tragic.

The audience knows better. And so do you.
Audiences are a little more sophisticated these days.
And they've spoken up on several occasions..only to be put down ..efficiently.

I guess if all the hunters get convinced there are no snipe left..
Its easier to go to the party chiefs and claim success...

The story is grim, there are many intercontinental agencies intertwined within this master plan and we are winning the war. A defection by the Russians worked in our favour when it became apparent that they never got any sun.

We moved up to def con two when we had an internal breach of security by what appears to be a highly skilled professional adept at the inner workings of social engineering via means that defy belief.

We are still going through the data, and will bring you all more when or if we are able.

EDIT.

We are unable and unwilling.

2nd EDIT.

Because you can't handle the truth. :nails:

3rd EDIT.
