Iwanci wrote:I disagree with the sentiments... disclosure IS needed... but it is not needed by some to finally have the proof they were seaking, I mean, if you havent seen a UFO by now (like me), then someone telling you they do exist is akin to me telling you how nice that candy bar is, it wont truly hit you until you have tried, or experienced it.

And, you are right, why would we trust the same people who hid the truth from us in the first place?

Why?

Because this is the natire of things and often, even though we know something to be true, we need to hear it from 'officialdom'... this then validates everyone who has suffered from its non disclosure and turns the balance and indeed the direction of the subject in a completely new direction.

When people are finally told that it is perfectly NORMAL to bekieve in UFO's because they do actually exist, all the evidence will be disclosed and the way we live from then on will change exponentially.

For example... we all know the story of jesus right? Many believe, many do not, some have changed their minds various times through their lives.... and the proponents of this belief (primarily the christian based religions) have been involved in some of the worst crimes against humanity in the name of this belief... So why trust them going forward? However, how would our lives change if all of a sudden we found out that the story of jesus was actually TRUE... how would that change people's lives? I think it would have a profound influence on the way we see life and the way we live it...

The disclosure of UFO's and aliens will have the same life changing impacts on the populace, until disclousre it will always be seen as conjecture, imagination, plausible but not quite right....

Definitive answers bring with them definitive decisions and definitive direction....

IMHO

OK Iwanci, I can totally see your points, and they are points that I have pretty much used my self when debating this with friends even more cynical than me.
I was being blinkered when I wrote that. Drunk and blinkered, which isn't too uncommon for me, sometimes it's drunk and optimistic.

Still, I can't see an official disclosure coming to much good unless their hand is forced.
Yeah, it would likely mean the opening up of channels of development of technologies that one would hope would be of huge benefit to us and the planet, or could lead to us totally fucking things up.
Are we mature enough to deal with such disclosures? It would require such a paradigm shift for most, not all, but there are so many that still can't accept fellow humans in their back yard, let alone folk from another place altogether - (they may well be human in any case). Yeah I like to think it would bring us all together (a' la Reagan) but like I say, I just don't think we are mature enough. Which is why I think there is a drip drip disclosure constantly going on from all sorts of sources. Maybe that in itself is evidence of a change, albeit a very, very slow one, within officialdom.

The technology - would it be forthcoming, or would it be used to keep us chained in the same way as fuel and resources etc are used and controlled now. The paradigm shift would have to happen at governmental level as well, in fact, it may even require a complete overall of the structure of society in some respects for any disclosure(s) to be of any benefit whatsoever.

Don't get me wrong, I still come on here and feel a little light go on whenever I see mention of a soon-to-happen, guaranteed, dead certain "official disclosure". It's only when I pause and think a while later that I realise that an official, grand disclosure would highly likely be smoke and mirrors.

I suppose I'd/we'd be able to watch the nay sayers squirm a little though, and say "told you so"; I'm used to closed minds and scepticism is to be expected and can be a healthy thing, but the ones who belittle can and do still annoy me.

Time to put down the beer and step away from the keyboard....
slowly..

Fuck it, I'm submitting; I can argue with myself again later when I re-read it.

I2.. close but no cigar... mid 40's... (fuck it hurt me saying that.. I always see myself as 27...lol)

Doogle, no sweat mate its all good and especially great to have differences in opinions

If we look back say 35 years ago, and project forward to today, we would laugh ourselves silly or shot our pants if we knew what technologies we would all be taking for granted today.

Microwave ovens
Mobile Phones
Internet
smart phones
laptops
tablet pc's
satelite driven navigators
reverse sensors on cars
reverse cameras on cars
speed cameras
plasma / lcd TV's
ALL the medical breakthroughs..

the list goes on and on

If we could have listed ALL these and look at the list, and say 'at some time in the future all of us will be using these on a daily basis'... we would either laugh or shit ourselves... 'no way we can learn all that'...

But here we are using lots of technology previously thought impossible.. we are smarter than what we thought we could ever be, and we have embraced, adopted and adapted the technology beyond comprehension... my daughter was using my iphone when she was 20 months old for example.

I also believe that the new 'yet undsclosed' technologies are being used and developed at a certain pace by our governments in secret... now, imagine at what speed they could be developed if the private sector gets a hold of it...

I would love disclosure, proof of alien existence, the dissemination of facts... and the emancipation of mankind beyond this current 'stalemate'...

I would alos like to see the many thousands of people and victims who suffered for speaking out vindicated, at least in their families eyes.. dicslosure will broaden peoples minds and open up new possibilities and new ways of thinking...

Are we mature enough? Yep, we were born mature enough... from the outset everything is foreign to us... as we grow we start using alll these foreign technologies at a whim....

Nothing is beyond man... imo
