so what we know now is:
a supposedly USAF video has a Russian KGB badge at its beginning...
this leaves two possibilities:
1) the entire source backstory is wrong
2) some guy made a school project and made it look cool and "official" with the badge taken from that other Russian video

well thats a fact, you're right but with todays cgi stuff thats just the easiest thing to create dont u think... we live in a hd world, and if i want a good commercial on a ufo website i stalk the rosswell incident which everybody is familiar with, do my cgi shit, blurr it out write some nice texts and got myself a great commercial....and i dont think if they would film an alien they would use so damn poor cameras, if even color footage of ww1 exists they had to have better cams to film a being from another world....

The other possibility is that the U.S. footage was obtained by the KGB, which would explain why it had their emblem.
Of course, they possibilities you put forth could also account for it.
