Science IS a religion. Twenty years from now, science will realize that what was science "today" is not correct, and its opinion will change. How many things were taught in the name of "science" a hundred years ago? Eighty years ago, mentally ill people were strapped to chairs and electrocuted because "science" said it was therapeutic for them!!!

I will tell you something.. there are two religions taught in schools today; science (evolution) and Islam. And I will tell you something else; the world is much bigger than that.

It is only through scientific discovery that we will find out just how much 'bigger' a world we live in.

Science has come on leaps & bounds since the dark ages & even the earlier half of last century so I don't buy that argument that science is not the way forward, look at how much we get right these days because of it. Evolution is a small piece of the puzzle in the scheme of things when it comes to science, what about chemistry, physics & engineering ?

Modern science, though still in it's infancy granted, does a lot more to explain our world & it's beginnings than any religion ever did or has. So purely for that reason we should all get on board.

I have nothing against faith but I do feel strongly that organised religion does not benefit mankind in anyway, especially seeing as there are so many forms of religion & they cant co exist without turning on each other.

Sorry for throwing more Hitchens in the mix but when somebody is right they are right & he is far more elegant in his presentation of the subject matter than I ever could be -

god created life?
why arent the birds cats and dogs reading the bible.
do they all go to hell?
how can it be a fact that god is good and the devil is evil, whilest somthing beeing good or evil is only an opinion.
how come theyre always presenting facts that are yet to be proven.
if not proven its only a theory!
me righting this is a fact.. but god making the 10 commendments is just assumed and therefor not a real fact cause it can not be proven!
i could go on and on about religion....
its corrupt and fucked up...believing in god just means youre blind to life....
believing is bullshit u either know something or you dont and if you believe youre just to stupid to know
