NGC 6872- is a largest spiral galaxy in Universe

At the meeting of the American Astronomical Society in California, NASA scientists reported, that astronomers have discovered the largest spiral galaxy in the Universe- the size of the galaxy NGC 6872 is more than five times the size of our Milky Way galaxy (see the video at the bottom of this article). According to Rafael Eufrasio from Space Flight Center of NASA Goddard, photos of the galaxy NGC 6872 were obtained using an ultraviolet telescope GALEX.
