North Korea threatens more punishment for American

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — North Korea has threatened to increase punishment for an American who was sentenced to hard labor for illegally entering the country.
The North's official Korean Central News Agency reported Thursday that North Korea is examining what harsher measures it would take against Aijalon Mahli Gomes in line with a wartime law.
Gomes, from Boston, was sentenced in April to eight years of hard labor and fined $700,000 for entering the country illegally and for an unspecified "hostile act."
KCNA said the North would be compelled to consider applying a wartime law to his case if the U.S. persisted "in its hostile approach" to the North.
Tensions have been high after a South Korean warship sank in March and North Korea was blamed.

N Korea seeks $65 trillion in U.S. compensation for ‘decades of hostility’
June 24, 2010

Cash-strapped North Korea has demanded the United States pay almost $US65 trillion ($75 trillion) in compensation for six decades of hostility.

The official North Korean news agency, KCNA, says the cost of the damage done by the US since the peninsula was divided in 1945 is estimated at $US64.96 trillion.

The compensation call comes on the eve of the 60th anniversary of the start of the 1950-1953 Korean War.

KCNA said the figure includes $US 26.1 trillion arising from US “atrocities” which left more than 5 million North Koreans dead, wounded, kidnapped or missing.

He is a few sandwiches short of a picnic, no doubt, but I have to wonder just how much of the reported media is true?

What was that girl's name - Jessica? The female soldier in the Gulf war who was touted in the as a heroine for her group but was then wounded and captured. After she was rescued she set the record straight stating she was not a hero and did not save her group.

And the story of the female police officer in Ft Hood whom the media said was a hero getting many shots off at the gunman stopping his rampage and suffering bullet wounds herself. She and her partner made the rounds after she healed stating the media over hyped that story.

The story in the first Gulf war of people ripping infants from incubators and killing them proved to be false in a court of law.

I have become very skeptical of what I read anymore. I don't know to believe or not or how much to believe. :?
