Is it because of our incredible access to the internet that makes the sharing of theories and information so much quicker and easier than at any time previously in the history of mankind?

The ONLY way we will and can find the solution to this and any problem is to have an open mind.

Zoiks! Right on shaggie, What if it just showed up, kinda like the comet Mc Naught did before Saddame was hanged. Your saying no one has seen it so it dont exist, he is saying just because you don't see it, that don't mean it is not there.

An example would be the planets in our solar system. before they didnt know pluto or Neptune 'existed' but they were still there waiting to be discovered.

So his logic is correct.

Yours is flawed because you are assuming that it is not there with no proof. He is saying it is possible, because we dont know everything in space.

people today do not understand myth.... the western world is void of myth..... I think joseph Campbell said it very well...

americans look at ancient knowledge as literal and that is the downfall of western society especially.

I think the problem is where the idea or theory 'starts', if wrong, or even just off center at the beginning, it goes off in a totally different direction, onto a different tangent, making the rest of the story so massively incorrect and plain wrong.. 2012 is a good example of mis interpretations from the very outset.
