Getting a nice show in Northeast Maine right now from mother Sun. Due to the full moon, it's hard to see naked eye. Great through Night Vision Goggles. Got some pics, but it's through my goggles with my Droid up against the phone. Will post later. Anyone in the north, go look. Sorry, Europe. You got daylight right now.

I tried to upload the pics, but it says I can only upload photos that are 250 kb, which is like a quarter megabyte. WTF? I'll try to size them down, they are 1.75mb right now. I take it nobody went out and saw them? There's still a haze out there now, with intermitten flares, but the good stuff is over. That's almost two hours, a true solar storm!

I posted some pics in my file. Go there to see them. I went outside right now, 0150 hrs eastern standard time, and it just got worse. Straight beams of light going up into sky. This is not normal, not for two hours. It usually only lasts a few minutes. Major solar storm, or the movie Knowing. I'm gonna take some more pics and try to post them. Is there no one else in this hemesphere awake. People in Alaska must be getting a major show. The super bright moon makes it hard to see, but if you look north you should see the bright glows. I use NVGs, but naked eye you can see something....

It just got ten times worse. Full on waves of light flowing up toward space. I'll try to take a video.

Thanks for calming me down, shag. Anyone getting pics or video yet?

Videos are uploaded. Gotta go to video page to get them. Storm has calmed down by now, 3 am eastern standard time. Still going, but very calm. Crazy days. I totally thought it was the movie Knowing....

Almost 4am and storm still going. Videos are not viewable from here, even though they show as uploaded fine. I hope you folks can see them. If not, sorry.

Bernard Fleck at NASA sent me the below info on the storm.

My special thanks to Disclose TV for letting me post this info. I still have not seen anything on the regular media on this storm, which I watched for four hours and reported here LIVE. I've seen northern lights several times in my life, but this storm (not just it having lasted over four hours) was not normal. We on DTV know a coronal mass ejection or a major storm could destroy life on Earth, and storms like this not being discussed on the media scares the shit out of me. Enjoy:
